Joe Jencks ~ On A Midwinter's Night Broadcast 12-21-25
Dear Friends in Music,
It has been a year!
I started out 2025 with my left arm in a sling and hopped up on pain meds, recovering from shoulder surgery. I spin down the year having given performances in South Africa, Ireland, and Canada (four times), as well as going coast to coast in the U.S. 117 concerts and performances, all told. Less than my usual average of about 150. But also not too bad for a bloke who spent part of the year learning how to play my instruments again. It’s going well. And I have had many gracious helpers along the way, for whom I hold deep appreciation. I spin down 2025 with a heart full of gratitude.
I am also excited to share the marvelous news that I will be performing at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on April 9th, 2026. Quite literally the national stage. It is a career dream come true, and an extraordinary honor to give a Joe Jencks show in such an august space, and in these times. I am beyond thrilled. More news about that concert in the new year.
This coming Sunday, December 21st, I will offer my annual online seasonal/ solstice concert: On A Midwinter’s Night.
YouTube Live-Streaming Link: https://youtube.com/live/Uuyrnp3zG8c?feature=share
I’ll be sharing original songs, songs written by beloved colleagues and friends, and some seasonal favorites that speak to the moment, the time of year, and the many seasons of the heart.
The broadcast starts (give or take) at 8:00 PM ET/ 7:00 PM CT/ etc. Please adjust for your time zone. This LiveStream concert is open to all, and free to access. Donations will be gratefully accepted and links will be provided on my website and in the stream chat. PLEASE share the stream info and link with friends and loved ones, and anyone who needs an evening of music and cheer. I will also leave the broadcast up on my YouTube channel through the holidays, for those who need to catch it after the fact, or want to listen again.
I hope you can grab a cuppa and settle in to enjoy the music and some camaraderie with me on the Winter Solstice!
I wish for you all a gentle holiday season.
Happy Hanukah, Good Solstice, Heri Za Kwanza, Bright Yule, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
In Gratitude & Song,
~ Joe Jencks

Dashboard buddies on the drive home with me, appreciating a winter sunset along I-90.

A late night walk with friends in the Rocky River Vally - near Cleveland. Long exposure and the glow of the city. A magical winter moment.
