Friends Folk Music Series: Joe Jencks. Award-winning singer/songwriter Joe Jencks brings his folk music to the Library for a free concert sponsored by the Friends of the Oak Park Public Library. Jencks is the sort of singer who captures the imagination. From concert venues including Carnegie Hall to festivals, coffee houses, and churches, he has spent the last ten years traveling all over North America opening hearts and minds through performances of musical beauty, social conscience, and spiritual exploration. 7 pm Veterans Room, Second Floor, Main Library.
